Biography

Burial at Seldon Cemetery, Selden, Sheridan County, KS.

Simeon was the second son of Isaac and Elizabeth (Courtney) Peck. After his mother died in Johnson County, Nebraska (about 1875) Simeon, with his father Isaac, and younger sister Lucy, homesteaded in Decatur County, Kansas and established the town of Shibboleth, on the Prairie Dog Creek. Simeon spent most of his last 48 years in the Topeka State Hospital.
Cemetery records show him buried in Block 45 Lot 4 with his wife Frances (DeNune) Peck and daughter Dora. There are no grave markers.
